Why I built this

My daughter Ava is a good student. She'd work with her mom and dad going through flashcards before tests — and it worked. But sometimes she'd get frustrated. Same cards, same routine, over and over.

One morning after a review session I couldn't stop thinking: there has to be a more fun, more creative way to go through a study guide. That same day I built a prototype.

Built with safety in mind

Completely ad-free

No third-party ads anywhere in the app. Ever.

No microtransactions

Coins are earned by studying — correct answers, games, streaks. There is no way to buy coins with real money.

Private by default

Study guides are only visible to others if your child chooses to share them with a code.

Data is never sold

We never sell personal information to third parties. Full stop.

Delete anything, anytime

Any study guide or the entire account can be deleted at any time from within the app.

Parent controls

A dedicated Parents & Safety screen lets parents review account details and delete all data without contacting anyone.

How it works

Your child uploads a study guide — a photo of their notes, a PDF, or pasted text. The content comes from their teacher's actual material.

AI extracts the key concepts and builds 11 different games from it — flashcards, quizzes, matching, boss battles, and more.

They practice, earn coins, and level up their pet — the game mechanics keep kids engaged without any real-money purchases.

Unlimited plan — $6.99/month

Removes the upload limit. Everything else is the same. Cancel anytime from Settings — no contracts. Billing requires an adult with a credit card.

Parent FAQ

Will my child be charged anything?↓
The free plan is completely free — no credit card required. The first 3 study guide uploads are free with full access to all 11 games. The only charge is if a parent chooses to subscribe at $6.99/month for unlimited uploads. Billing goes through Stripe's secure checkout and requires a credit card entered by an adult. Children cannot add a payment method or change billing on their own.
Are there in-app purchases or microtransactions?↓
No. Coins are earned by studying — correct answers, completing games, and daily streaks. They're spent on cosmetic items for the pet (background colors, hats, glasses, frames). There is no way to buy coins with real money, no loot boxes, and no premium currency.
What data does AvaStudy collect?↓
AvaStudy collects the minimum needed to run the app: a Google account email for sign-in, and the content your child uploads to create study guides. We do not collect browsing history, location, or any sensitive personal data. Nothing is sold to third parties.
What age is AvaStudy for?↓
AvaStudy is designed for students in middle school, high school, and college. Sign-up requires confirming that the user is 13 or older, or that a parent or guardian is assisting. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Can I delete my child's account?↓
Yes — account deletion is built into the app under Settings → Parents & Safety. Deletion is immediate and permanent: all study guides, progress, coins, and personal data are erased. You can also contact us directly and we will handle it immediately.
